Lesson 9    Always Eat Breakfast！

教材分析：

本课是冀教版小学英语第八册第2单元的第一课，是本单元的基础，包含两部分内容，第一部分主要围绕与健康有关的词汇healthy ,sick ，strong, weak阐明为什么吃早餐，第二部分通过讨论课文人物Danny和Kim一周内吃早餐的情况，学习有关频率的特殊疑问句How often及其回答。通过本课的学习，要求学生能掌握2组反义词，会表达事物的健康状况，以及通过语言情境的创设，掌握并运用How often句型。

学情分析：

本课的教学对象是六年级学生，具备一定的语感和英语学习能力，能够听懂并且很快的掌握本节课所学的内容。本课生单词不多，但与学生生活息息相关，所以学生会非常有兴趣学习本课，他们会乐于参与教学中的各种活动，喜欢与同伴合作完成教师布置的任务，真正体会到It's fun ! It's easy!

教学目标：

（一）知识目标：

1、学生能掌握下列词汇：healthy, strong, week, weak .

2、学生能正确理解并体验句型How often …？…　times a…

(二)能力目标

1、学生能够熟练地运用How often及其回答。

2、学生能通过实践、合作等学习方式，增强合作学习的意识，提高与他人交往的能力。

（三）情感目标

1、学生能在不断体验成功的同时，增强学习英语的自信心。

2、学生能意识到早餐的重要性，养成健康的早餐习惯。

教学重、难点：

1、能听、说、读、写本课词汇；

2、正确运用How often …？…　times a …

教学准备：

调查表，录音机，多媒体课件

教学过程：

Step1: Revision

    Review the words and phrases of Unit 1. Ask the students to write them on their exercise books. And then check their answers.

   < heavy, light, catch, throw, runners, play soccer, play badminton, play sports, throw the basketball at the net, hit the ping-pong ball to Jenny.>

Step2：New concept

1. Playing sports is good for our health. Ask the students to guess the meaning of health.

Show a survey of four students in Class 1, Grade 6.

Ask the student: Did …play sports last ….?

Zhang Ziyi always played sports last week.

Tian Weiliang usually played sports last week.

Gao Yifan sometimes played sports last week.

2. Then teach the students to learn seven times , six times… … twice and once.

Try to repeat the sentences.

3. Learn four new words by two flowers：healthy, strong, sick and weak.

Read and pay attention on the pronunciation.

Pay attention: health-healthy, strong-long, weak-week-beak, sick-duck

Chant: healthy, healthy, healthy, not sick.

       Strong, strong, strong, not weak.

4. Practice by three surveys. And color their healthy stars.

Survey 1:

How often did you play sports last week?

I played sports _________ last week.

Survey 2:

How often did you eat breakfast last week?

I ate breakfast _________ last week.

Survey 3:

dumplings,   noodles,   rice,    bread,    cake,     hamburger,

porridge,    soup,     eggs,    snacks,   steamed bread,

Fried bread stick,    instant noodles,     soybean milk

5. The new text.

① Listen and find : How often did Danny and Kim eat breakfast last week?

② Read and judge:

(    ) 1.Last week, Danny ate breakfast on Thursday at 7:30 in the morning.

(    ) 2.Last week, Jenny ate breakfast at 7:15 in the morning.

(    ) 3.Li Ming eats breakfast seven times a week.

(    ) 4.Li Ming usually eats soup for breakfast.
